Universal Studios is turning the nightmare into a rock‑inspired rite of passage with the debut of Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, a haunted house that promises to plunge visitors into the late icon’s legendary career. The attraction opens on August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and on September 1 at Universal Studios Hollywood, running through November 1 in both parks.

Built around Osbourne’s solo catalog, the house layers tracks from Blizzard of Ozz to Ordinary Man into its soundtrack. Visitors will pass through recreated album covers, a “Crazy Train” segment, and a narrative that traces his Birmingham childhood to a fictional “Osbourne Asylum.” The experience also showcases his on‑stage personas—Madman Ozzy, Werewolf Ozzy, and Prince of Darkness—through themed scare zones.

The project follows the late rocker’s death on July 22, 2025, after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. In a statement released with the announcement, his widow Sharon and son Jack said, “Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries. He loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created.”

Guests enter through a circus‑tent façade that features a strongman game, a bell that rings, and a voice that shouts, “Let the madness begin.” The design team has woven scare zones that echo the themes of Osbourne’s music and public persona, creating a cohesive horror‑rock atmosphere.

Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights has long leaned on pop‑culture touchstones. Past editions included houses based on Stranger Things, Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn, and Fortnite. Merchandise for the new house—such as a T‑shirt and an acrylic figure—will be available at the parks.
