Thai TikTok Star Aon Somrutai Arrives in Philippines for First Visit, Partners with GLXY and Universal Records

From the glittering streets of Bangkok to Manila’s bustling media scene, Thai TikTok sensation Aon Somrutai will make her Philippine debut on July 13 2026. The visit marks the launch of a new partnership with GLXY Talent Management and Universal Records Philippines, two firms that will help the influencer break into the country’s entertainment market.

Somrutai has built a following of millions across TikTok and other platforms by sharing lifestyle, fashion, and travel content. Her videos, often punctuated by the catchphrase “Thank you, Kateyki,” have resonated across Southeast Asia. She has also worked with high‑end brands and appeared alongside Asian stars such as Heart Evangelista at Paris Fashion Week, demonstrating her crossover appeal beyond the digital sphere.

In a statement announcing the deal, GLXY president and founder Kathleen Dy‑Go said, “Aon has built an incredible connection with audiences through authenticity, humor, and positivity. We are excited to officially introduce her to Filipino fans and create opportunities that showcase her talents across different platforms.” The agreement is intended to open doors for Somrutai in television, music, live‑event, brand‑endorsement, and digital‑content projects in the Philippines.

During her Manila stop, the influencer will participate in a photo shoot for Mega magazine, a well‑known Philippine media brand, and make a special guest appearance on the noontime variety show It’s Showtime on ABS‑CBN and the Kapamilya Channel. These appearances are part of a broader strategy to introduce her to Filipino audiences and to explore potential collaborations in music and television.

The partnership reflects a growing trend of cross‑border entertainment collaborations in Southeast Asia. Universal Records Philippines, an independent label under Warner Music Group since 1992, has previously signed foreign artists, including Korean singer‑actor Choi Bo Min. GLXY Talent Management has a track record of representing regional talent and facilitating cross‑regional projects. Somrutai’s entry into the Philippine market is expected to strengthen cultural exchange between Thailand and the Philippines and to open new avenues for joint productions.

At present, Somrutai’s Philippine debut is limited to the July 13 visit, the Mega magazine shoot, and the It’s Showtime appearance. No further projects have been announced, but the partnership with GLXY and Universal Records indicates that future television, music, and live‑event opportunities are likely to be pursued. The collaboration is a strategic move to expand her brand beyond Thailand and to position her as a regional influencer bridging Thai and Filipino entertainment industries.
