Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy Anime Receives Green-Light for Second Season

Studio Kai has officially green‑lit a second season of the anime adaptation of Nonco’s manga Kanan‑sama wa Akumade Choroi (Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy), a move that signals the series’ sustained popularity. The announcement, posted on the show’s official website on Sunday, was accompanied by a new illustration from character designer Akari Minagawa.

The first season debuted on April 4, 2026, on Tokyo MX and BS11 at 25:00 JST (effectively 1:00 a.m. the next day). Twelve episodes aired through June, and the series was simultaneously streamed worldwide by Crunchyroll, which also released an English dub. The story centers on Kanan, a demoness who infiltrates a human high school to feast on souls but ends up becoming the girlfriend of the very boy she originally targeted.

Yasushi Muroya directed the inaugural season, bringing experience from Fairy Tail and Blue Lock to the project. Series composition was managed by Rintarō Ikeda, whose credits include Detectives These Days Are Crazy! and Insomniacs After School. Akari Minagawa handled character design, while Chisa Shibata contributed sub‑character design. The supporting crew comprised art director Nobuaki Mihara, 3D CG director Masanari Kira, sound director Yasushi Nagura, and composer Shūhei Mutsuki.

The voice cast features Aoi Koga as Kanan Takakiyo, Seiichirō Yamashita as Yōji Kyōgi, Sayumi Suzushiro as Jeanne, Maki Kawase as Ami, Ayaka Nanase as Nadeko Masurao, Fūka Izumi as Milch Zebul, Hikaru Tōno as Miel Zebul, Yoshino Nanjō as Lilim Zebul, Takaya Kuroda as Beelzebub, Yui Ogura as Yuriko Yurino, Ayana Taketatsu as Yui Rorikawa, and Yū Kobayashi as Ryoko Reizen.

The manga first appeared in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on June 1, 2022. By April 16, 2026, thirteen tankōbon volumes had been released. Seven Seas Entertainment announced plans to publish the series in English omnibus format starting July 2026.

Studio Kai, the animation house behind the first season, is based in Suginami, Tokyo and was founded by ADK Emotions in 2019. Its involvement with Mistress Kanan adds to a growing slate of contemporary shōnen titles.

Crunchyroll’s licensing of the series for both streaming and dubbing aligns with its strategy of acquiring recent anime that resonate with global audiences. The English dub, released concurrently with the original broadcast, broadened the show’s reach to viewers who prefer dubbed content.

While the green‑light confirms a second season, no details about the production schedule, episode count, or staff continuity have been disclosed. Studio Kai has not yet confirmed whether Muroya, Ikeda, or other key personnel will return.

The announcement follows the first season’s conclusion, and the series’ future timeline remains uncertain. Fans can monitor the official website and Studio Kai’s social media for updates. The upcoming Seven Seas omnibus will also give new readers access to the source material ahead of the next season’s production.

In short, Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy has secured a second season, underscoring its continued success on television and streaming platforms, and the manga’s ongoing serialization keeps the franchise alive for audiences worldwide.
