Mattel Launches WWE Elite 3-Pack at SDCC 2026, Featuring Cyndi Lauper, Roddy Piper and Captain Lou Albano

Mattel has unveiled a new WWE Elite 3‑Pack that will debut exclusively at San Diego Comic‑Con 2026 before joining the Mattel Creations line in July. The set brings together action figures of pop icon Cyndi Lauper, wrestling legend “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and manager Captain Lou Albano in a tribute to the 1980s Rock & Wrestling era that helped propel WWE into mainstream pop culture.

Priced at $80, the 3‑Pack will be available on the convention floor to SDCC attendees, with Mattel confirming that collectors who miss the event can purchase the figures on its online platform later in July. It also marks the first time a Cyndi Lauper figure has appeared in WWE’s action‑figure line.

The concept traces back to the 1984 episode of Piper’s Pit in which Lauper appeared alongside Albano, an appearance widely seen as the spark that ignited the Rock & Wrestling crossover. Lauper’s 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual, had already cemented her as a household name, and her vibrant image and high‑energy performances fit naturally with the wrestling world.

Mattel has been producing WWE action figures for more than a decade, and the Elite line is known for its detailed sculpts, articulation and accessories that capture each character’s signature look. In the 3‑Pack, Piper is depicted in his traditional kilt and bagpipe entrance music, Albano sports his iconic beard and flamboyant attire, while Lauper is shown in a bright, 1980s‑style outfit that echoes her music‑video aesthetic.

Collectors and fans have already shown enthusiasm for the release. Mattel’s statement notes that the set will appeal to both wrestling enthusiasts and pop‑culture collectors, and that the $80 price point aligns with other Elite releases. The exclusive will be sold at the convention’s official vendor area before being stocked on Mattel Creations’ website.

From an industry perspective, the partnership underscores WWE’s strategy to broaden its licensing portfolio and engage audiences across entertainment sectors. The Rock & Wrestling era remains a key part of WWE’s brand heritage, and the 3‑Pack reinforces that legacy by bringing together figures from both sides of the crossover.

The 3‑Pack is scheduled to debut at San Diego Comic‑Con 2026. While Mattel has not yet released detailed images of the packaging or the accessories that will accompany the figures, the company confirmed that the set will be available for purchase on its online platform in July.

In summary, Mattel’s WWE Elite 3‑Pack will be sold at SDCC 2026 and online in July, featuring Cyndi Lauper, Roddy Piper and Captain Lou Albano. The release celebrates the 1980s Rock & Wrestling era and marks the first inclusion of a Lauper figure in WWE’s action‑figure line.
