Poppy Unveils Dying To Forget Video and Announces July North American Tour
Poppy released the official music video for “Dying To Forget,” the sixth track on her seventh studio album Empty Hands, on June 17 2026. The clip was directed by Orie McGinness, who has worked with Poppy on several videos for the album. The song was written with Isaac Hale of Knocked Loose and Stephen Harrison of House of Protection, and both musicians appear in the video.
The video continues the visual style that has defined the Empty Hands era. McGinness’s direction features stark, industrial imagery and a close‑up performance by Poppy, intercut with footage of Hale and Harrison playing guitar. The track’s aggressive riffing and vocal delivery match the album’s heavier direction, a shift that began with 2020’s I Disagree and has been reinforced by the 2024 release of Negative Spaces.

Poppy’s Empty Hands album, released in January 2026, marked her second entry on the Billboard 200. The artist’s transition from pop‑centric releases to metal and industrial rock began with I Disagree in 2020, earning her a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. The Empty Hands era continues that trajectory, with collaborations that blend heavy guitar work and experimental production.
The new video and tour announcement provide fans with fresh content and a schedule that spans the United States and international venues. Ticket sales for the North American dates are open through the official Poppy website and major ticketing partners. The upcoming shows with Evanescence will see Poppy perform primarily as a supporting act, offering audiences a blend of her solo material and the established Evanescence set.
The current situation is that the video has been released, the tour dates are confirmed, and ticket availability is underway. Fans can follow Poppy’s official channels for updates on merchandise, setlists, and potential additional dates.
